A lease where the tenant pays their own utilities and a pro-rated share of other property expenses. These expenses are passed on by the property owner to the tenant.
A lease where the tenant pays utilities (heating and cooling) and janitorial expenses for their space. The landlord pays the remaining expenses for the space (real estate taxes, water, trash, etc.).
A lease where the landlord pays for all expenses, including utilities. Tenant is only responsible for rent!
