Designed in a unique Florentine Renaissance-Palazzo style, the building was home to Lamson's department store until the landmark store closed in 1974. The building's interior and exterior are adorned with Florentine guild symbols, many of which have a tie to the building's history as a full service department store. In 2023, Geyde Development received a grant from the city of Toledo restore the stone panels and wrought iron work that characterize the façade of the building.
